There is often talk of limitations in shop systems, which then require the purchase of expensive CRM and merchandise management systems that have to be laboriously connected to the online shop. All of this is possible, but it consumes a lot of money and time. It would be simpler if a cash register were directly integrated into the shop system and thus accessed inventory without detours.
As one of the few providers in Germany, we offer a POS (Point of Sale) online cash register system for WordPress / WooCommerce. The structure can be flexibly integrated as an add-on module and plugin.
Legally, a (cash) register must record all transactions electronically. This is ensured by the integration into WooCommerce. The annual financial statement or annual receipt can also be generated via the WooCommerce report. The data logging protocol should be ensured by the user logins and the MySQL database behind WordPress. A dongle (USB stick or card) cannot be connected and integrated! This feature is also not planned.

Information on GoBD, GDPdU, GOBS:
Since the POS is a tool fully integrated into the WooCommerce online shop system, it essentially only applies to normal order processing with a continuous invoice number. This is a major difference from all other systems. Figuratively speaking, an online shop order is triggered by an internal guest user on behalf of a personally present customer and, if necessary, even linked to their contact details.
Due to the fact that we work purely via the web interface, so-called log files are written and stored by 99% of all hosting providers, so that EVERY click is theoretically traceable. This is a far greater control option than with all other POS providers! With an active database interface such as with WordPress+WooCommerce, the logging of changed data is also guaranteed.
Only the continuous invoice number is a process that needs to be regulated, but this is usually solved via free plugins or Germanized / German Market.
Please note that the system currently has not undergone any certification or testing. This is also not planned!

The POS system is suitable for all industries and products. Even services with a fixed price and flat rate can be billed. All fields are freely definable and easy to filter and fill, even with complex structures.
Even if you don’t have an online shop yet, the POS system is of interest to you. In a kind of hidden shop, you can manage your inventory and only reveal it to the public if you wish. This way, you benefit from the advantages of a constantly synchronized online interface for your local trade and sales.
Important: The POS system runs directly via the shop system as a plugin and thus registers every process in various ways and creates a PDF file permanently stored in the system, which accesses the WooCommerce database for creation. The requirements for cash registers that came into force on January 1, 2017, are thus also complied with. Frequently Asked Questions about the WooCommerce POS System:
- Can a barcode scanner be used?
Yes, any scanner that outputs plain text (numbers/letters etc.) can be used. When scanning, the input into the search field is automatically completed, and the item is added to the cart with quantity 1, depending on the settings. It is possible for the quantity input field to appear. The barcode should correspond to the SKU in the shop. The use of another database field is possible with individual programming (additional costs). - Can the POS be used without internet (offline)?
No, synchronization with the system occurs within a few seconds (interval) depending on the settings, so that no errors or incorrect stock levels can ever arise. - Payment via card reader (EC, credit cards, etc.):
As with all card payments, you enter a reference number into the device, which the POS system displays to you, so that you can merge bookings later. Any provider can therefore be used that allows a reference field for input in its device. - How many sales locations, POS systems, sellers (users) can be used?
Infinite! However, please note the server load. 1&1, Strato, T-Online, Hosteurope usually only support this with their own managed servers. Topic user roles:
WordPress users can only use one POS system, edit POS systems, or make all settings for POS systems. These distinctions exist per user role. - Can I manage my cash (with a cash drawer)?
Cash management can be activated. For this purpose, an input field opens after opening the POS interface for entering a value = amount in the cash register (cash balance). When closing the POS interface, you will then be asked to enter the cash balance again. See also "Cash Book" below. - Can a report be sent automatically and is there statistics?
Yes, a report can be sent to one or more email addresses after closing the till. A real-time report per till and salesperson can be accessed via WooCommerce > Reports in the administration (standard WooCommerce function) – ideal for controlling. - Is it possible to assign to an existing online customer?
Yes, you can assign every sale to a customer from the WooCommerce database, so that they can access it + all documents online (My Account function) - What distinguishes this POS system from others?
Our POS system is seamlessly integrated. Figuratively speaking, you only have a direct order interface for your shop. With every purchase, you essentially trigger an online shop order with a guest account. This is also important regarding GoDB compliance. - Is the stock in the shop automatically reduced?
Yes, with every sale, the total quantity of a product is reduced. - Can stock also be managed separately for each location?
Unfortunately no, as this warehouse function is only possible with a separate plugin. A connection is planned, but not yet available. This is a „problem“ = missing function of WooCommerce and has nothing to do with the POS. An external WMS like JTL is compatible, but only the total stock is reduced or from the first warehouse location. - Product Visibility (Shop & Checkout, Checkout Only, Shop Only)
You can choose for each product where a created product should appear. If you have products only for the online shop or only for local trade, this can be easily selected at the top right (where the blue button is) in the product editing overview. The default is always on both interfaces. - Is the checkout GoDB-compliant?
Due to the seamless integration into WooCommerce, figuratively and technically speaking, only an online shop order with a guest user is triggered. This means that due to clicks, database changes, and movements in the system, a reference is written in the server’s log files and in the MySQL database. This makes manipulation almost impossible (except for deleting data, which, however, leads to inconsistencies!). This checkout method is even more modern than most other POS systems, which simply write a booking. Due to continuous invoice numbers and the constantly existing database interface, a clear assignment is always given. Otherwise, there would be a system error on the part of WooCommerce or the database. Through the possibility of a daily report, these could also be sent and saved to, for example, archivierung@xxx. Please note, however, that we cannot provide binding legal advice and statements on conformity, as the jurisprudence in this regard changes or there are no technically clear statements. - Does the POS system replace a cash book?
No. The legal documentation requirements were tightened again in 2017. A manually kept cash book or one kept via software cannot be replaced by a POS system, but only digitally supplemented. This concerns the booking of income and expenses from the cash balance that are NOT tied to a sale. Example: Payment for stamps, fuel, parking receipts from the cash balance. Management is generally possible in the system, but we cannot make a binding statement regarding legal recognition.
