Marketing through video messages for celebrities & influencers
Marketing Through Video Messages from Prominent Influencers

In the past, texts were the undisputed number one on the internet when it came to conveying information. However, this has changed today. Video content is no longer only able to generate an extremely wide reach with the help of Facebook and YouTube.

Marketing through Video Messages for Celebrities & Influencers

On the internet today, videos represent the content most frequently consumed by users – and the trend is rising. This is hardly surprising, as videos have the power to convey a full 95 percent of the message they contain to users. In contrast, this proportion is only ten percent for texts.

It is therefore hardly surprising that video messages now play an extremely important role for marketing purposes. There is even the possibility of commissioning personal video messages from influencers and celebrities, for example, an individual video message from Carmen Geiss, to give as a gift.

Influencers and Video Marketing

In video marketing, so-called influencers are of immense importance. These include celebrities such as actors, musicians, and athletes, as well as ordinary people who publish content for a specific niche topic on social networks.

Many of these influencers have several million followers. In recent years, the video platform Twitch has gained enormous importance, especially for gaming influencers, but newer networks, such as TikTok, are also increasingly focusing on video content.

The New Standard: Portrait Format

However, the format of videos themselves has also changed in the past. This can primarily be attributed to the increased use of mobile devices for media consumption. On YouTube, clicks now come from smartphones in some cases up to 90 percent. However, these require a different format. Instead of the usual 16:9 TV format, the 9:16 format is now in vogue.

In addition, younger people, in particular, use their smartphones themselves to produce video content. These, of course, also have the 9:16 format. Videos recorded in this format are therefore also increasingly found on Facebook, Instagram, and the like.

For companies that want to use video messages for their marketing purposes, this means that they should consider the portrait format already during the production of the content. The popularity of videos on the internet is also significantly supported by the increasingly cheaper tariffs for mobile data usage. Videos can now be consumed easily on the go. Especially if a company’s target group consists of young people, it should therefore not refrain from publishing its content in the form of videos in portrait format.

Video Marketing in the B2B Sector

Video marketing is also gaining increasing importance in the B2B sector, so more and more companies are interested in creating professional videos. In this context, too, video content has a much greater effect than other marketing content, as messages can generally be disseminated more quickly and understandably with the help of moving images.

If the right content is chosen for the videos, they are able to significantly increase the number of conversions. It is therefore hardly surprising that more and more B2B companies are aligning their social media accounts with video content.
