Your media library is a chaos

WordPress has no native way to tag media. This makes managing large image collections a nightmare.

Images not found

Hundreds of images in the media library, but no system behind it. You scroll endlessly to find the right image.

No Structure

WordPress offers no categories, tags, or folders for media. Everything lands in a single bucket — unsorted and disorganized.

Galleries become outdated immediately

Uploaded new images? Then you need to manually update each individual gallery. If you forget one, it displays outdated content. With 10+ galleries, that's a full-time job.

Tag once. Never maintain again.

Traditional galleries must be assembled manually — and with every new image, each gallery must be updated individually. With Media Tags Intelligence, you tag an image once, and every gallery with this tag displays it automatically. Everywhere. Instantly.

Without Media Tags Intelligence
1 Upload Images
2 Create Gallery A manually, select images individually
3 Create Gallery B manually, select images individually
4 Create Gallery C manually, select images individually
New image? → Repeat steps 2–4 for each gallery
⏱ Hours per week · 😤 Galleries forgotten · 🔄 Outdated content
With Media Tags Intelligence
1 Upload image and tag
2 Place shortcode once: [media_gallery tag="..."]
Done. Forever.
New image? → Tag it. All galleries update themselves automatically.
✨ Seconds instead of hours · 🎯 Always up to date · 💪 Full control
💡

The principle: Tag once, display everywhere

Your galleries are no longer static image collections — they are dynamic queries. A shortcode says: "Display all images with tag X." Whether 5 or 500 images — the gallery always shows the current state. You maintain full control over layout, sorting, and filters without ever having to touch a single gallery again.

Everything your media library needs

No manual assembly, no maintenance. Tag once, control everything — layout, sorting, number of items, lightbox — and every gallery stays current automatically.

🏷️

Tags for Media

Unlimited tags per image. Enter comma-separated or select from existing tags via autocomplete. Works in list view and in the media modal.

Quick Tags

All existing tags as clickable pills directly below the input field. One click adds them, click again to remove. Tagging doesn't get faster than this.

🔍

Dropdown Filter

New dropdown in the media library list view. Filter all media by a specific tag — find every image in seconds.

🖼️

Grid & Masonry

Two layout modes for your galleries: classic grid with uniform columns or dynamic masonry layout. Configurable up to 8 columns.

🔗

Multi-Tag Logic

Combine multiple tags with OR or AND logic. Display images with at least one tag (OR) or only images that have all tags (AND).

💡

All themes & page builders

Works with any theme and page builder — from WPBakery (with native element) via Elementor, Divi, and Bricks to Gutenberg. Lightbox integration is automatically detected.

🚀
Even easier and faster

Auto-tagging on upload + SEO-optimized galleries

Auto-Tagging: Existing tags are automatically recognized and assigned from the filename. For example, if you upload referenz-portrait-outdoor.jpg, the tags referenz, portrait, and outdoor are automatically linked — provided they already exist.

SEO Boost: Automatic alt tags, title attributes, and structured data for your galleries. Search engines index your images better, and your pages rank for image search queries — without manual effort.

In 4 steps to the perfect gallery

1

Install Plugin

Upload and activate ZIP. No configuration needed — works immediately.

2

Tag images

In list view, click directly on the tag column. Enter tags or use Quick Tags.

3

Insert Shortcode

Place [media_gallery tag="dein-tag"] on every page or post.

4

Never touch again

New images? Simply tag them. All galleries update automatically. Responsive, with cache and lightbox.

A shortcode. Always up to date.

The [media_gallery] Shortcode creates dynamic galleries that update themselves. 12+ parameters give you full control — without ever having to maintain a gallery manually.

// Einfache Galerie

Frequently asked questions

What is included in the license? +
Each license includes all features without restrictions, one year of updates and support, as well as the upcoming auto-tagging & SEO features. The only difference between the plans is the number of websites on which you can activate the plugin.
Does the plugin work with WooCommerce? +
Yes! The media library tags are independent of WooCommerce products and work with any WordPress installation. Whether blog, shop, or portfolio — Media Tags Intelligence adapts to you.
What happens to existing images? +
Existing images remain unchanged. You can assign tags to them at any time after installation — directly in the media library list view by clicking on the tag column or in the Media Modal when editing.
Can I assign tags in grid view? +
Yes, via the Media Modal (click on an image in the grid view). There you'll find the tag input field with autocomplete and quick tags in the side panel under the media details.
How does the cache affect changes? +
The cache is automatically invalidated as soon as you upload, edit, delete an image, or change tags. You don't have to clear anything manually. With random sorting (orderby="rand"), no cache is intentionally used.
What is behind Auto-Tagging & SEO galleries? +
Two features coming soon: When uploading, the plugin automatically recognizes existing tags in the filename and links them to the image — for example, "reference-portrait-outdoor.jpg" is automatically assigned the tags "reference," "portrait," and "outdoor." Additionally, the plugin generates SEO-optimized alt tags, title attributes, and structured data for your galleries so your images rank better in Google Image Search.
Which WordPress version is required? +
At least WordPress 5.8 and PHP 8.1. Tested and compatible up to WordPress 6.4+. The plugin uses modern WordPress APIs and is built for the future.

Organize WordPress media library with tags — dynamic galleries without maintenance effort

Anyone operating a WordPress website with more than a few dozen images knows the problem: the media library quickly becomes confusing. Images for references, portfolios, team photos, products, events, and blog posts all end up in the same pool. WordPress does not offer tags or categories for media files out of the box. This makes finding individual images a tedious task — and creating and maintaining image galleries becomes a time-consuming routine.

FLAVOR Media Tags Intelligence solves exactly this problem. The plugin extends the WordPress media library with a complete tagging system that allows images, graphics, and other media files to be flexibly categorized. The decisive advantage over classic gallery plugins: galleries are not static image collections, but dynamic queries. A shortcode like [media_gallery tag="referenzen"] displays all images that are currently tagged with "references" — regardless of when they were uploaded.

The end of manual gallery maintenance

With conventional gallery solutions in WordPress, each gallery must be assembled manually. Images are selected individually, arranged in the correct order, and saved. When a new image is added, all affected galleries must be opened individually, edited, and saved again. For websites with ten or more galleries — such as those of craftspeople, photographers, real estate agents, or e-commerce shops — this effort quickly adds up to several hours per week.

Media Tags Intelligence works fundamentally differently: You tag an image once when uploading it, and every gallery that queries this tag automatically displays the new image. No re-editing, no forgetting individual pages, no outdated galleries. The principle is simple: Tag once, display everywhere.

Intuitive operation directly in the WordPress media library

Tag management takes place where you already work with your images: in the WordPress media library. In list view, a single click on the tag column is enough to assign or remove tags. The quick tags feature displays all existing tags as clickable pills — one click adds, another click removes. The autocomplete function prevents typos and ensures consistent tag structures. In the media modal (grid view), tagging works via the side panel, so you can assign tags while browsing your images.

A dropdown filter in the media library allows you to filter all media by a specific tag. This way, even in media libraries with thousands of files, you'll find exactly the images you're looking for in seconds.

Shortcode with full control over layout and display

The [media_gallery]-Shortcode offers over 12 parameters with which every gallery can be adapted precisely to the respective requirements. In addition to the selection of individual or multiple tags (with OR or AND linking), two layout modes are available: a classic CSS grid with up to eight columns and a masonry layout for images with different aspect ratios. Sorting by date, title, menu order or random, configurable image sizes (thumbnail, medium, large, full), controllable spacing, lightbox options and additional CSS classes provide maximum design freedom — without having to write a single line of code.

For WPBakery users, a native page builder element with all parameters as dropdown and text fields is available. In Elementor, Divi, Bricks, Beaver Builder, and Gutenberg, the shortcode can be integrated via the respective shortcode widgets.

Performance-optimized for websites of any size

Media Tags Intelligence was developed with performance in mind. Gallery results are cached in the WordPress transient cache for 24 hours. As soon as an image is uploaded, edited, deleted, or a tag is changed, the plugin automatically invalidates the cache. With random sorting (orderby="rand"), caching is deliberately not used to deliver different results on each page load.

The plugin consists of a single PHP file without external dependencies. CSS is registered as minimal inline style and only loaded when a gallery shortcode is actually present on the page. JavaScript is included exclusively in the admin area. The result: virtually no measurable performance impact on your website's frontend.

Compatibility with themes, page builders, and SEO plugins

FLAVOR Media Tags Intelligence is compatible with all common WordPress themes, including Woodmart, BeTheme, Avada, Flatsome, OceanWP, Astra, GeneratePress, and the flavor theme. The Woodmart-specific PhotoSwipe lightbox is automatically detected and used. The plugin works seamlessly with WPBakery, Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder, Bricks, and the Gutenberg block editor. Since the taxonomy with show_in_rest is registered, full compatibility with the WordPress REST API and modern block-based editors is guaranteed.

Coming soon: Automatic tagging and SEO-optimized galleries

With the next update, Media Tags Intelligence will automatically recognize and assign existing tags from the filename. If you upload an image named "reference-portrait-outdoor.jpg" and the tags "reference," "portrait," and "outdoor" already exist, they will be automatically linked. This drastically reduces tagging effort once again — especially for bulk uploads or when multiple team members upload images.

Additionally, the plugin will automatically generate SEO-relevant metadata for your galleries: alt tags, title attributes, and structured data are created based on the assigned media tags. This significantly improves the indexing of your images in Google Image Search — without you having to manually write SEO text for each image. Combined with the dynamic gallery approach, where content is always up to date, an image SEO strategy emerges that essentially maintains itself.

Who is Media Tags Intelligence suitable for?

The plugin is ideal for all WordPress websites that regularly add new images and want to display them in multiple locations: Craftspeople and service providers with reference galleries that update automatically with each new project. Photographers and creatives with portfolio pages organized by categories such as wedding, portrait or landscape. Real estate agents with property photos tagged by location, type or status. E-commerce shops with product images, lifestyle photos and campaign material. Agencies that manage websites for clients and want to minimize maintenance effort for image galleries.

FLAVOR Media Tags Intelligence is part of the FLAVOR plugin family from VASTCOB — developed from real projects, not from theory. With merchant DNA and an understanding of what websites truly need in daily operations.
