❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Is the tool really free?
Yes, the VASTCOB PageSpeed Tool is 100% free to use without restrictions. There are no hidden costs, no registration and no limit on the number of analyses. We offer it as a service for the community.
Is my data stored or shared with third parties?
No. The entire analysis takes place directly in your browser. No data is sent to external servers. Only if you actively use the email sending feature will the report data be processed for sending – but it will not be stored.
Does the tool work on every website?
Yes! The tool works on any publicly accessible website – whether WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Joomla, Magento or a completely custom solution. The analysis is based on browser APIs that are available everywhere.
How accurate is the Lighthouse score?
Our tool estimates the Lighthouse Performance Score based on the measured Core Web Vitals and other metrics. The estimate is typically ±5-10 points away from the real Lighthouse test. For exact values, we additionally recommend a test with PageSpeed Insights.
Why are my values different from those in PageSpeed Insights?
PageSpeed Insights tests from Google servers (lab data), while our tool measures the real performance in your browser (Real User Measurement). Your internet connection, location and device influence the results. Both perspectives are valuable – ours shows what real visitors experience.
What do LCP, CLS, and INP mean?
LCP (Largest Contentful Paint): Time until the largest visible element is loaded – should be under 2.5 seconds.
CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift): Measures visual stability (shifting elements) – should be under 0.1.
INP (Interaction to Next Paint): Response time for clicks/inputs – should be under 200ms.
Can I also use the tool for client websites?
Absolutely! The tool is perfect for agencies, freelancers and web developers. You can export reports as JSON, send them by email or copy the client-friendly summary. There are no restrictions for commercial use.
How do I install the bookmarklet?
Chrome/Edge: Simply drag the yellow button into your bookmarks bar.
Firefox: Right-click on the button → "Bookmark This Link".
Safari: Right-click → "Add Link to Bookmarks".
Afterwards, you can click the bookmark on any website to start the analysis.
What is the difference compared to the browser DevTools performance analysis?
Browser DevTools are very technical and require expert knowledge. Our tool interprets the data and provides understandable recommendations in German. We also automatically analyze CMS, plugins, third-party services and provide concrete optimization suggestions.
Does VASTCOB also offer professional optimization?
Yes! As a WordPress and WooCommerce agency, we offer professional performance optimization. From Core Web Vitals optimization and server setup to complete shop acceleration. Contact us for a free initial consultation.

Testing and improving website loading time – how to do it right

The loading time of a website now decides success or failure on the internet. Visitors expect a page to be fully loaded within two to three seconds. If it takes longer, many will leave – and Google downgrades slow pages in the ranking. With the VASTCOB PageSpeed Analyzer, you can check for free how fast your website really is and where there is potential for optimization.

What are Core Web Vitals and why are they important?

With the Core Web Vitals, Google has defined three key metrics that have had a direct influence on search engine ranking since 2021. LCP measures when the main content becomes visible. CLS assesses whether elements shift during loading. INP shows how quickly the page responds to user interactions. Our tool measures all three values directly in your browser and provides immediately understandable recommendations.

Loading time optimization for online shops

Especially for online shops such as WooCommerce, Shopify or Magento, performance is crucial. Every additional second of loading time demonstrably costs revenue. The VASTCOB tool automatically recognizes your shop system and provides specific tips for optimization. For WooCommerce, for example, we analyze the Cart Fragment feature, which is often responsible for performance problems.

Measure Mobile Performance

Over 60 percent of all website visits are made on mobile devices today. Google has used Mobile-First Indexing for years – the mobile version of your website determines the ranking. Our tool simulates various mobile connections and shows how long your page takes to load on 3G, 4G or fast LTE. This way you can identify problems before your visitors notice them.

Third-party scripts under control

Tracking pixels, chat widgets, ads and social media buttons: External scripts massively slow down many websites. The PageSpeed Analyzer groups all third-party requests clearly by category and shows their influence on loading time. This allows you to make an informed decision about which services are really necessary and which can be omitted.

Identify render-blocking resources

CSS and JavaScript files in the head section block the rendering of the page. Our tool finds these resources and shows concrete solutions: Which scripts can be loaded with defer or async? Where is Critical CSS missing? Which stylesheets could be loaded later? These optimizations often improve the First Contentful Paint by several seconds.

Check image optimization

On most websites, images make up over half of the data volume. The Analyzer checks whether Lazy Loading is correctly implemented, whether modern formats such as WebP or AVIF are used and whether responsive image sizes are set with srcset. If optimization is missing, we immediately show which images are affected.

Privacy-friendly analytics

Unlike PageSpeed Insights or GTmetrix, our tool does not send any data to external servers. The complete analysis runs locally in your browser. This makes the VASTCOB Analyzer not only faster, but also compliant with data protection. Ideal for websites with sensitive content or strict compliance requirements.
