PayPal Plus will be discontinued on December 31, 2022. This means that from then on, the benefits of full integration with purchase on account and installment payments can NO longer be used. From January 1, 2023, if no conversion is made, this means: No more payments possible. The new system PayPal Checkout attracts with lower fees, but according to our tests as a marketing agency for shop optimization, the system turned out to be very mixed. In addition, 2.99% + €0.39 per transaction is not really cheap. Therefore, in 2021, we already started looking for a good alternative with an EU-wide focus and without „PayPal arbitrariness“. The nice thing is that PayPal can be integrated directly + up to 40 other payment providers and that for over 30 CMS and shop systems at more favorable conditions + purchase on account + installment payment via Sofort/Klarna.
