Information boards – don't neglect the analog world
Information Boards Don't Neglect the Analog World Snap Frames

The digitalization is fundamentally changing the entire professional world. This progress is important and opens up many new opportunities in all areas. However, always bear in mind that the analog world will and must continue to exist in parallel.

Information Boards – Do Not Neglect the Analog World

Changes must be made very carefully, and not everything old will be completely replaced. It is important for you and your company to be present and active both digitally and analogously.

Show Your Presence Analogously Too

Continue to display your customer information legibly on paper in snap frames on the wall at your location, and keep putting up signs in the stairwell. A digital wayfinding system through your company premises, which can be accessed at home and on the go via an app, is an enormous help and will certainly be accepted by many customers. However, this requires your visitors to actively turn on their mobile phones and actively search for the wayfinding system. You also want to reach customers without their mobile phones switched on.

Both Customer Segments Need to Be Served

Customers who come to your location metaphorically leave the digital world in some areas. Even if a detailed floor plan of your company premises is shown on your website, both tech-savvy and less tech-savvy people are equally accustomed to having additional signage displayed in the building. In a stairwell without your advertising signs and without customer information, visitors may feel lost because nothing points to your company. Some visitors want a virtual tour of your corridors online as a 3D animation to feel comfortable with you. The other part of your customers still needs the signs and customer information that were common before digitalization. Serve both customer segments and support a careful transformation.

It's All About the Right Mix

In all transformation processes, ensure that the introduction of a digital process does not signify the completion of the transformation, but that the non-digital process must first become superfluous before you can abolish it. There are no universally valid guidelines for when your customers must accept that you offer certain processes exclusively online. Transformation depends on a very healthy mix. In the first step, you should offer online solutions additionally and repeatedly point out this option. In the second step, you should actively support the use of the digital path. Only then should you consider whether you want to maintain both variants in parallel or whether the digital path can completely replace the analog one in the long term.
