The two solutions for the trash in the media library:
The trash for the media library in WordPress can be activated very easily to restore deleted files such as images or PDFs. By default, WordPress irrevocably deletes media content. By adding the code line define( 'MEDIA_TRASH', true ); in the wp-config.php file, this function can be activated.
Where is the file? The wp-config.php file is located in the main directory of your WordPress installation. You will find it where you installed WordPress on your web server or hosting provider. The directory is often called „public_html“, „www“ or simply by your domain name. To access it, you can log in via FTP or use your hosting provider’s file management tool (web FTP), e.g., the file manager in cPanel. Open the file with a text editor to make changes.
